We are homesteaders who appreciate some of the conveniences of the 21st century. Like the internet. After all, without it, this blog wouldn’t exist, right? We believe in raising our own food as naturally as possible, but are not opposed to seeking proper care and remedy if what we are facing is beyond our realm of experience and education. We believe in treating the land every bit as sacredly as we do our animal friends. Respect is a big thing in our world. It doesn’t mean you can’t disagree with one another, for we all have our own opinions. It means that you can share your opinion without trashing the other. You can share the land without destroying it. You can honor the animal by not wasting any part of it, for that would be to disrespect its life.
Mostly this blog is about me. I’m the wife, the chief cook and cuddle giver to any number and sort of critter-kids that come our way. I love to experiment and share; teach and encourage; and generally find ways that I can give back to my family and my community. I feel that it would be wrong of me to ever ask anyone to do something that I am not willing to do myself.
